Welcome

The Natural Sciences society of St John’s College, Cambridge. The Larmor Society is named after the eminent physicist Joseph Larmor, an alumnus of the college. Every undergraduate and graduate Natural Scientist and Psychologist at St. John’s is a member of the society.

Larmor hosts a variety of talks each term spanning all areas of scientific research, which all students and other members of the university are welcome to attend free of charge. Every talk has refreshments (including wine) provided free of charge. Throughout the year the society also hosts subject advice evenings, and social events including an annual dinner, and a garden party in the Summer.

We aim to provide students with any direct student-student advice related to the Natural Sciences or Psychological and Behavioural Sciences Tripos that they might need. Please contact us if you have any questions.
